Yes, my son ate purple play dough for lunch.

It's always a challenge to keep the play dough out of Ollie's mouth when he plays with it. So today I decided to feed him some for lunch. I took the leftover mashed purple sweet potatoes, added flour till it was the right consistency, and now he's playing with--and eating--his play dough!

Ko'olau Watercolor

This morning, Ollie and I played with his watercolors. He made his contribution to the painting fingerpaint style. Then he ran off to play with his bike. He likes his painting smock because it has helicopters on it.

Too Much Guava

Yesterday Ollie and I picked about 35 guavas off our tree. Ten or so of them had either started to rot, or had birds get to them already. I hate guava seeds, so these peelings are from the outer layer only. I'm going to boil it down with a little sugar and make sauce. I think I'll have to freeze a lot of it when it's done.
